Questions

Which seed VC funds are actively investing right now?

As of Oct 16, 2026, 6 seed and pre-seed funds on DryPowder have public deployment evidence from the last 60 days. The most recent: Earthshot Ventures (SEC Form D filing, Oct 13, 2026); Tribe Capital (SEC Form D filing, Oct 13, 2026); Dorm Room Fund (Form D amendment, Oct 13, 2026); Catapult Ventures (SEC Form D filing, Oct 13, 2026); General Catalyst (Deal or fund news, Aug 26, 2026). The full ranked list is on this page.

Which VCs just raised new funds (Form D)?

4 of the funds on this list filed a real-fund SEC Form D in the last 60 days. A Form D is filed when a fund raises or has just closed capital. SPVs and single-deal series vehicles are excluded. Every recent venture Form D, including non-seed funds, is listed on DryPowder's Form D filings page.

What counts as deployment evidence?

A fund appears if, in the last 60 days, it filed an SEC Form D for a real fund vehicle, was named in news of a pre-seed or seed round or of a new fund close, or had a deal tracked on its DryPowder profile. Later-stage rounds, valuation stories and commentary that only mentions a fund do not count.

Why are SPVs excluded?

An SPV or a "series of" vehicle raises money for one deal, so its Form D says nothing about a fund having fresh capital for new seed checks. Each filing's raw entity name on SEC EDGAR is checked, and SPV, series and co-invest filers are dropped.

How often is this list updated?

The page is rebuilt from DryPowder's data at most every hour. Form D filings are collected daily from SEC EDGAR, and news signals several times a day. Last updated Oct 16, 2026.
